The FCA Baseball mission reaches beyond baseball to make a positive impact. To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of youth baseball is our primary mission and it reaches beyond the traditional footprint of FCA sports ministry in middle and high school sports by ministering to youth athletes and coaches that primarily participate in youth recreation leagues, clubs and travel teams.

Did you know that there are approximately 51 million athletes under the age of 18 participating in youth sports across the United States? Only about 7.5 million of those compete in school athletic programs. That leaves more than 43.5 million youth athletes that play youth sports in recreational leagues, clubs and travel teams. According to one report posted on FCA Baseball website, "5.9 million youth between the ages of 6-17 play baseball in America. There were 478,029 high school boys’ baseball programs in the United States in 2009. Add in all the players and coaches in the collegiate and professional ranks, and one can readily see the tremendous opportunity to make an impact for Jesus Christ in the baseball community". How can we begin to impact the world of youth sports for Jesus Christ? I believe we can start right here and right now at the youth recreation clubs and leagues across Middle Tennessee. Chances are if you are reading this, then maybe YOU are exactly where God has called you to be and can make a huge difference in the lives of young athletes and coaches all over the Middle Tennessee area.

Billy Graham once wrote that a coach is one of the most influential people in the world and influence more people in one year than most people do in a lifetime. The real question then is this: How will you influence the athletes, coaches, parents and friends in your "diamond" of influence? In your family, your team, and your league? Your daily walk matters to God and to those around you. Prepare yourself for the opportunity at hand. Just like the bumper sticker reads: "One man can make a difference, Jesus did"
